Official statement from the Assyria Liberation Party on the actions of Mr. Aho Hanna

ASSYRIA LIBERATION PARTY

TO THE ATTENTION OF ALL ASSYRIAN INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS

First of all we extend our respect and greetings to our entire Assyrian people. Recently the statements and messages made on social media by an individual named Aho Hanna are completely unfounded, provocative and false. This individual claims that a so-called "Assyrian Front" has been established in Syria or Europe and falsely asserts that the Assyria Liberation Party and Furkono are part of this fictitious structure, which is absolutely untrue. 

The Assyria Liberation Party will under no circumstances stand shoulder to shoulder with those who betray and exploit the Assyrian people for their own personal gain, collaborate with destructive forces in Syria, and contribute to the creation of the so-called western kurdistan, condemning our people to oblivion. For this reason, we clearly, explicitly and decisively inform all Assyrian institutions and organizations of the following points:

·         Aho Hanna was definitively expelled from the Assyria Liberation Party and Furkono more than 22 years ago.

·         Aho Hanna has no organic, political, or ideological ties whatsoever with these entities.

·         The Assyria Liberation Party has neither issued any statement, nor made any joint declaration, nor entered into any coalition or alliance with the Syrian Democratic Party or with any political structure under the control of Aho Hanna.

·         Any and all contacts, cooperation, or acts of solidarity carried out by the individual named Aho (Gebro) Hanna in Syria with kurds or with any other peoples are entirely his own personal responsibility. These actions have no connection whatsoever with the Assyria Liberation Party or Furkono.

All official texts, statements, appeals and agreements from the Assyria Liberation Party are published on official letterhead and posted on the official website www.furkono.com or on the furkono.com Facebook page. All other oral or written statements from the Assyria Liberation Party are deliberately fictitious, destructive, provocative and null and void.

The honor, struggle, and future of the Assyrian people cannot be tarnished by lies, provocations, or personal agendas. The true Assyrian cause requires an independent, principled, national, and honorable stance.
